Crescent Haunted Activities

Scare up some lifetime memories with a stay at America’s Most Haunted Hotel.  Learn the tales of the Crescent Hotel with guides telling the stories of our resident spirits in the places where they happened, and ending in the dreadful Norman Baker’s notorious morgue, during our walking ghost tour. On our Expert and Expanded ghost tour, you’ll get a tour conducted by our most senior ghost tour guides who share the stories of the spirits at the Crescent Hotel that extends to include tales of the criminal mind of Norman Baker.  You will explore the morgue and learn about the Baker Burial Site (midden) and view the recent findings of the archeological site containing gruesome looking, fleshy medical specimens.  Or join us for Flickering Tales, our ever-popular storytelling event in the beautiful outdoor Crescent Moon Theatre.   Eerie tales from the Ozark hills of witches, monsters,  ghosts, and spook-lights, with a good dose of  Ozark humor thrown in!  Told by our multi-talented ghost tour guides.

 

Resort Activities

You can do as little or as much as you want during your stay.  Relax by our pool or soak in the hot tub, hang out on the porch, or swing on our swings.  Join us in the Frisco Sporting Club for all kinds of fun outdoor activities including cornhole and bocce, or giant Jenga, chess, checkers or connect four.  Try your hand at hatchet throwing or take aim at the Red Rider Shooting Range.

There are also daily resort activities like watercolor classes and other crafts, walking tours, history tours, and more.

Area Attractions

Eureka Springs is an extraordinary destination with unique attractions and things to do.    You can stroll through the historic downtown, making a stop at the Historical Museum or venture underground for tours of our incredible caves and caverns. Don’t miss Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, with its large population of big rescued exotic cats.  Experience the exhilarating thrill of a Zip Line Canopy Tour right in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains at Ozark Mountain Zipline. Besides the Great Passion Play performance, there are many other attractions on their grounds including the Christ of the Ozarks, Holy Land Tour, Bible, History and Arts Museums, gift shops, petting zoo, and miles of mountain bike trails.

Water Activities

The Crescent Hotel is near two rivers and three lakes, providing visitors all the cool water adventure you could ask for.  Places to kayak, canoe, hike, bike, fish, swim, and paddleboard abound.   Eureka Springs features several lovely, peaceful parks and trails, including the 1,610-acre Lake Leatherwood City Park– a place of natural serenity encompassing 1610 acres which includes an 85-acre spring-fed lake.   The Kings and White River are great for a leisurely float trip.  Beaver Lake and Table Rock Lake are both a short drive from Eureka Springs.   Starkey Marina on Beaver Lake and Holiday Island Marina on Table Rock Lake are both full-service establishments offering food and drink, boat and slip rentals, and all the amenities you may need to enjoy your time on the lake.  Fishing guides are plentiful and you will find good fishing for largemouth bass, striped bass, white bass, and walleye.[/caption]

 

Easy Access to Downtown

No need to worry about parking in downtown Eureka Springs.  You can quickly get to the downtown shops and restaurants several ways.   The Crescent Hotel offers a free shuttle to take you back and forth.   Trolleys are a great way to get around Eureka Springs and we are right on the red route which will take you downtown.  You can also take one of Eureka Springs’ hidden shortcuts.  Ask our resort host for directions!  The most direct way to get downtown is using Magnolia Trail, access is across the street from the fountain garden path. In a few short minutes, you will find yourself in the heart of downtown to view the historic homes, shops, and springs. To include some history on your way take Kansas Street past the remains of the Red Brick Schoolhouse and Sweet Spring.
