Winter Vacation Itineraries Set By Eureka Springs’ Historic Hotels

(EUREKA SPRINGS, AR) – With winter vacations being such a vital part of the year’s hospitality offering, Eureka Springs’ Landmark Hotels -The 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa and The 1905 Basin Park Hotel- have developed some itineraries to make planning that weekend getaway just a little easier. Jack Moyer, general manager of the two historic properties explains, “There are so many wonderful facets to our winter diamond we’ve decided to place a few of them together as suggested things to see and do while in ‘America’s Victorian Village.’”

At The 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa – A Jacuzzi Suite. Dinner and Sunday Brunch in The Crystal Dining Room. Breakfast in bed with room service. Full duet spa package in the New Moon Spa & Salon. Walk the trails of hotel’s 15 surrounding acres. Hot drinks sipped atop the hotel at Dr. Baker’s Lounge & Overlook and later return for popcorn and a movie. A vow renewal. Casual visit to area museums and art galleries. Plenty of relaxation time built in for Jacuzzi, wine and each other.

At The 1905 Basin Park Hotel – A Jacuzzi Suite. Step outside front door of hotel and simply stroll to dozens of galleries, shops, bistros, and nightspots. Hot stone massage in the Serenity Spa. Catch a meal and overlook downtown in The Balcony Bar & Restaurant. Shoot a game of pool or play a hand of Texas Hold ‘Em Poker in Rooftop Billiards. Hot cup of Starbucks coffee and a simple breakfast in “the cave” of Eureka Coffee Company. See herds of elk grazing and bald eagles soaring as you river float or ride by as part of an Arkansas Outdoor Adventure tour. Renew wedding vows. Walk down to THE Aud for a live performance. Share a bottle of champagne in Jacuzzi tub. Relax and rediscover each other.

“These are just some ideas that we’ve grouped together,” said Moyer, “but the city and the surrounding area have so much to do in the winter it might be fun for travelers to craft a personal itinerary of their own. We would be glad to assist in any way we can.”

Moyer noted that both hotels are comfortably priced in the winter season and packages are available. For general and package information one should go on-line to www.crescent-hotel.com and www.basinpark.com, or call 800-342-9766 and 800-643-4972.
