Two January Paranormal Events at America’s Most Haunted Hotel

america's most haunted hotel

Each January, the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa becomes a focal point for paranormal investigation in the Ozarks. Known nationwide as America’s Most Haunted Hotel, the Crescent hosts two distinct paranormal events across two separate weekends. While both events explore the hotel’s long history of unexplained activity, each offers a very different experience.
Whether you are interested in a single overnight investigation inside a closed haunted hotel or a multi-day event with sessions, presentations, and guided explorations, January offers two opportunities to experience America’s Most Haunted Hotel after dark.

Lockdown

January 6

An overnight paranormal investigation inside the Crescent Hotel

Once a year, the doors of the Crescent Hotel close completely to the public, and a limited number of investigators are invited inside for Lockdown, the hotel’s most immersive paranormal investigation. This one-night event is a rare chance to investigate one of the most haunted hotels in America without the presence of day guests or regular activities.

During Lockdown, participants are granted guided access to the Crescent Hotel’s most active spaces after hours, when the building is dark, quiet, and free of distractions. Investigations take place in areas tied to decades of documented activity, including the former morgue, hospital-era corridors, and locations not accessible during standard ghost tours.
This is not a ghost tour. Lockdown is a real paranormal investigation with lights off, equipment in use, and extended time dedicated to exploring reported hot spots.

All investigators stay overnight at the historic Basin Park Hotel in downtown Eureka Springs. Transportation is provided between properties, allowing guests to rest comfortably after a night spent immersed in the haunted history of the Crescent Hotel.

What is included with Lockdown

  • Overnight access to the Crescent Hotel for a focused paranormal investigation, plus a small group format for uninterrupted exploration

  • Use of ghost-hunting equipment with guidance from experienced investigators

  • Behind-the-scenes access to some of the hotel’s most active locations

  • Overnight accommodations at the Basin Park Hotel, starting at $129 for the night

Tickets to Lockdown are $175 per person.

Lockdown takes place one night only each January, and space is extremely limited. For those serious about haunted hotels and hands-on paranormal investigation, this event offers one of the most exclusive experiences at America’s Most Haunted Hotel.

Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend

January 23 and 24
Optional Lockdown add-on January 22

Later in January, the Crescent Hotel hosts Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend, a multi-day event designed for guests who want a deeper look at paranormal research inside one of the most haunted hotels in the country.

Unlike Lockdown, the hotel remains open to the public during ESP Weekend. The event takes on a more structured, convention-style format with scheduled workshops, investigations, presentations, and guided sessions led by experienced paranormal investigators who have spent years studying activity inside the Crescent Hotel

Guests explore many of the hotel’s most documented areas, learn how investigative equipment is used, and gain insight into the history behind reported encounters. The weekend format allows for both education and hands-on investigation, making it a good fit for first-time ghost hunters and returning investigators alike.

Overnight accommodations for ESP Weekend are at the Crescent Hotel, allowing guests to stay inside America’s Most Haunted Hotel throughout the event.

What to expect during Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend

  • Guided paranormal investigations in the Crescent Hotel’s most active locations
  • Workshops, demonstrations, and Q and A sessions with experienced investigators
  • Haunted history presentations and storytelling
  • Behind-the-scenes access not offered on standard ghost tours

Rooms for the ESP weekend start at $149 per night, and ESP tickets are $250 per person

As part of the weekend, guests can also add a Lockdown-style investigation on Thursday, January 22. This late-night experience offers smaller group access and deeper focus on the hotel’s most active paranormal hot spots after hours.

Guests who want the full experience can book the combined package for the Thursday Lockdown plus the ESP weekend. The package is $1,250 and includes a three-night stay, one Lockdown ticket, and one ESP weekend ticket. Additional Lockdown plus ESP tickets are $400 per person.

Two events. Two weekends. One haunted hotel.

Both January events offer rare opportunities to explore America’s Most Haunted Hotel, each in a different way. Lockdown delivers a single-night, immersive investigation inside a closed hotel, while Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend provides a full schedule of sessions and investigations with the option to stay inside the Crescent throughout.

Tickets for both events are limited. Call now to reserve your spot!
