The Crescent Hotel has been part of Eureka Springs since 1886, and the building has had quite a few lives along the way. It began as a grand hotel, later became Crescent College for Women, and in the 1930s became the Baker Hospital. Today, the carefully restored hotel is once again welcoming guests while preserving the stories of the people and events that came before them.

A Hotel With Many Stories
Since opening its doors in 1886, the Crescent has been a destination hotel, a women’s college, a hospital, and, eventually, a restored historic hotel once again.
Its history includes grand Victorian-era gatherings, the years of Crescent College for Women, the controversial Baker Hospital era and the restoration of the property following a devastating 1967 fire.
Today, much of that history can still be seen throughout the hotel, from its architecture and historic details to the hallways and spaces where these stories took place.
