The Perfect Springtime Itinerary at the Crescent Hotel

Put a spring in your step with a refreshing springtime getaway to the Crescent Hotel. It’s the time of year to get out there and explore,  feel awakened, refreshed, and renewed with a vacation on the calendar to celebrate the new season.  Here’s the perfect itinerary for a perfect springtime stay at the Crescent Hotel

Day 1

Check-in time is at 4 pm.  Get settled in your room and ready for dinner.  Bring your appetite to the Crystal Dining Room for LaCena.   Our Italian dinner items are generously portioned and made to share.  Tip:  Save room for dessert later!

After dinner, head down to Frisco Sporting Club for some fun & games.  Compete with your friends or family at hatchet throwing, cornhole, horseshoes, giant chess or checkers, Jenga, or bocce ball. Or just relax on the Frisco swings.

Now it’s time for the dessert you were waiting for.   Take the elevator up to the 4th floor and visit Top of the Crest just in time for an Ozark Mountain sunset.  Breathe in the fresh mountain air while enjoying one of the delicious desserts offered.

Day 2

Rise and shine!!  Make sure you’ve requested a balcony room so you can watch the sunrise and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Once you’re ready for the day, it’s time to fuel up for your adventures.   The Crystal Dining Room is ready to serve you breakfast.  Order from the menu (hint: the stuffed French toast is legendary) or partake in the daily War Eagle buffet that includes a cinnamon pecan waffle bar, omelets made to order, and other breakfast favorites.

Now it’s time to explore!   Ask the front desk to call the complimentary shuttle and head downtown.  The historic district’s sloping streets are lined with unique stores and art galleries located in the Victorian buildings that exemplify the town’s architecture.  You can spend the entire day visiting stores that have anything and everything you can ask for–jewelry, clothing, gifts, home decor, candy and fudge, candles, antiques, bath & body products, gourmet foods & hot sauce, and much, much more!

Favorite lunchtime spots are all within walking distance.  The Balcony Restaurant, The Spring on Main, Local Flavor, and Mud Street Cafe (or Mud Street Annex) are all recommended by locals and guests alike.

Visit some of the natural springs for which the city is named. There are dozens of springs that flow in locations throughout town. Some that you won’t want to miss are Harding Spring, Sweet Spring, Grotto Spring, and Crescent Spring.

Meet the shuttle back at the Basin Park Hotel. (Tip: Head up to Jack Rabbett’s Whisky Bar on the first floor to rest your feet and have a drink first!

There are so many amazing restaurants in Eureka Springs, it’s hard to experience them all in one visit.  If you’re looking for a more upscale experience, try Gaskin’s Cabin, LeStick Nouveau, or Rogue’s Manor.  If you prefer a more casual, laid-back meal, check out Sparky’s Roadhouse Cafe, Bubba’s BBQ, or Amigo’s Restaurant & Cantina.

Top off the night with the Crescent Hotel Ghost Tour.  Let our famous ghost tour guides escort you on a journey through the “most haunted hotel in America”, telling the stories of our resident spirits in the places where they happened, and ending in the dreadful Norman Baker’s notorious morgue.

(Tip: If you can’t get enough ghost hunting, head back down to the Basin Park Hotel for a late-night Paranormal Investigation

Day 3

Put on your walking shoes and get outside!   There are numerous options for trails and hikes around Eureka Springs including the Harmon Park Loop starting outside our front doors or our in-town trails, to Lake Leatherwood City Park or the Great Passion Play Trails.

Head back to the 4th floor of the hotel for lunch with a view at Skybar Gourmet Pizza.  Sit outdoors on the amazing balcony overlooking all of Eureka Springs below while enjoying cold drinks, and gourmet pizza.

Now it’s time for pampering and relaxation!  The Crescent Hotel offers an amazing spa experience at the New Moon Spa on our lower level.   Experience a relaxing massage, body treatment, or facial–choose more than one, you deserve it!    Then de-stress some more in the infrared sauna or hot tub.   You can also use this time to visit the pool–don’t worry, even if it’s a chilly day, our pool is heated year-round.

If you’re looking for an evening activity, look no further than Intrigue Theater!  Just down the street, you can walk or take the shuttle.   You’ll have your mind blown by the true masters of intriguing magic performed by Master Illusionist Sean Paul and the beautiful Juliana Fay.

Top off the night with some food and great music at Missy’s White Rabbit Lounge or The Gravel Bar.
