Ice Skating Returns to the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa

OPENING DAY January 1, 2020

Once again this year, the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa will be offering ice skating beginning January 1, 2020, 5PM-8PM.

“A little part of us had hoped for colder temperatures to help us with our rink,” stated Jack Moyer, hotel executive vice president and general manager, “but Mother Nature hasn’t cooperated.  With that said, we are well on our way and with incoming low temps, we expect to open the New Year with a Skate Party.  Assuming the temps allow us to establish ‘hard ice’ we will be welcoming skaters on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the season.  ‘Eureka Springs Night’ is every Tuesday.”

Regular Season Skating hours:

5PM-8PM

Thursday: Broom Ball @ 5PM & Free Skate @ 6:30PM

Friday: Weekend Kickoff Party & Learn To Skate

Saturday: Winter Wonderland Party

Sunday: Open Skate

Skating admission is $5 for adults.  Children five and under skate free when accompanied by an adult.  Skates are available for rent in a good variety of sizes

A new addition this year are the curling lanes.  “I am sure you have seen this strange but fun event during the winter Olympics,” Moyer noted, “and now you can try your hand at this ‘shuffleboard on ice’.”

Since all skate days are dependent on the weather conditions, those interested in visiting the Crescent Hotel for ice skating are encouraged to check rink status -open or closed- at crescenthotel.com.  The hotel is located at 75 Prospect Avenue on Eureka Springs’ Upper Historic Loop.
